Featured in (Spoiler Alert) Under The Storm Giant's Castle, one of my favorite 1st Edition 3rd party modules, a classic of the genre. 3E stats were printed in the Dragon Compendium making the orange a Very Young dragon at most. I made him a Mandarin Orange dragon and made him from Kara-Tur, only fitting since the other featured dragon was known only as "Chinese Dragon". This made his friend/foster Acorn a Wu-Jen Dracolyte (Dragon Foster)/Dracomancer. It's very unlikely I'll have another Orange in the game unless a Wild Surge happens. It is possible that the party could planeswalk or dimension hop to a world where the "standard" dragon types are replaced by less common types. I had a rather confused and convoluted plot that I never got to run featuring Timelords (who also appeared in Dragon 65, the debut of the orange dragon) and The Dark Is Rising Series. "When the dark comes rising, 6 will turn it back, 3 from the circle, 3 from the track: wood, bronze, iron, water, fire, stone, 5 shall return...and 1 go alone." Tom Baker's Dr. Who had a season tracking down the key of time or something, which had its parts disguised and spread across the multiverse. I was going to send the PCs on a similar quest, using the Dark Is Rising thematic elements. the 2ndary color dragons were going to be guardians of some of the pieces. Never got to run it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
