They might have, I think they went through at least the recommended 13.333 encounters in that dungeon. But on the other hand, the DM might have been a jerk and not given them XP for Xykon, since he's not actually dead (well, he is, but not DEAD dead).

Any guesses on who the blue-robed guy with the swords is?

Well, Xykon is defeated, but not destroyed.

Well, paraphrasing a much older strip in the OOTS, since they were in Xykon's Lair at the BOTTOM of the Dungeon, and they escaped through the emergency exit about the TOP of the mountain, they sure "went up a lot of levels".

I love OOTS... (AND 8-bit theater too). Can't wait to see the next story arc... I can't imagine what he has in store.

Evil twin for the vertically challenged no ranks in spot ranger :)

I have to say at first I thought this was going to be goofy in a bad way- a comic strip about DnD... then I read and after laughing aloud and getting weird looks at work one day I realized I can look forward to Monday and Thursday's now :)

I agree. I love this strip. At first I thought it was gonna be a goofy, self-referencing and self-deprecating D&D comic, but though it has those elements, it's actually funny, and I mean laugh out loud funny at times. I look forward to more strips.

you mean good twin? or did you believe them when they said not to think about why he was uneffected by unholy blight?
I am just hopeing there is another adventure coming

Big fan here. I found the strips involving Thor hilarious, namely Surtur destroying the town while Thor gives Divine "tech support" and "What would Thor Do?"

"You wouldnt happen to be ghouls? As an Elf, im immune to the paralyzing touch"
"No, Ghasts. Sorry"

Or is it just the beginning...

You never know about the end of the story arc... we could have an upcoming Religious Knowledge Check (since this is set in a 3.5 campaign world) for the requisite (and quietly apologetic), "Umm, lads, about that lich, Xykon..." statement and the ensuing slapping of hand to forehead.
