Message: <blockquote data-quote="Assenpfeffer" data-source="post: 1584755" data-attributes="member: 9061">I will be there, arriving around 3 PM wednesday and leaving probably around 4 PM on sunday.Traditionally I play few games at Origins - instead, I shop.  There have been years when I've come home with several large cartons of stuff.  Over the last year I've been paring the junk out of my collection, though, and don't have near as much clutter as I used to.  So I plan to be very selective about my purchases this year.Last year, for the first time, I actually signed up for and played in an event (a 3-night Vampire: Dark Ages LARP,) and had a blast.  In previous years, I'd done the occasional demo, and that'd be about it - my time was spent in the auction or dealer's room.Also last year, we did the trip on the cheap, squeezing 9 people into one room at a Motel 6 half an hour away from the con.  A couple of the people with us were... well, let's say they were not ideal convention companions.  There's a tale there to be told, you can be assured.No more of that nonsense.  This year, I have a hand-picked 4-man crew for the con, and we're staying at the Hyatt.I have also signed up for loads of events, including Pendragon, Fading Suns, Nobilis, Traveller, Exalted, and a couple of seminars.  This is, in a way - a money-saving technique.  Every hour I'm playing in an event is an hour not used up blowing huge amounts of money in the dealer's room.Also, I plan to eat well and drink a lot.  <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)"  data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" /></blockquote>
