ahh the joys of friendship...... When this first came out, I remember that the local theatre had two films, one of which was not very decent. I had two friends that worked at the theatre and consequentially made friends with the other people that worked there. getting to the point. Not only did i get to see this movie 1.5 million times. I also got to see it from the projection booth (interesting perspective), I got in free, i got free refreshments, and we got to play around with the fountain drinks (i can make some killer mixed sodas now). The movie was great. I enjoyed it immensely. It had all the great elements. 2- hot chicks 1- heroic cool d00d 1- cool king 1,000,000,000- awesome fight scenes As for her requiring that he lose to prove his love for her, comeon... that was awesome. It would be like a rich man's S/O asking for him to give up all his money for her. Its asking a man to be able to release what he wants more than anything for her. Great scripting if you ask me. I thought that chaucer was well written, but then again the way that I saw it, chaucer was telling the story. Did anyone else notice that the story seems to start with more detail when he joins the film. I figured that the film meant to be that way to show that Chaucer had a first hand experience with the story after that. Also, his character seemed to have more "developement", perhaps because he knew himself best of the group. I liked how the knight is the knight from canterbury, it fits the description well. All in all a very good movie.
