It seems that the popular opinion on this thread is "I hated it!!!" But I will say that it was an enjoyable movie. I came in wanting an A$$ kikin movie with a lot of fighting and CGI and a hot chick and cool characters- and that was exactly what I got. An added bonus was the chinese samurai (Donny Yen). I loved his previous movies and have been watching him in chinese for about 15 years now. And I thougth it was really cool that he had no lines either- just hand gestures... but his death lacked a lil luster. (edit) did anyone notice that his jump kik (in the vamp club) was actually a triple kick where he jumped and kiked with right, left, right and then landed. It has been his trademark for years. I loved it... but the camerawork could have been betterin showing it was a triple kik instead of a loppy jumpkik. The only part that bothered me was that the head Vampire guy showed Blade his most imtimate and sacred places. i know he wanted to gain his trust, but that doesnt mean that you have to spill everything. I know that the blood pool was a way for blade to regain consciousness after being drained, but it could have better placed. And also the part where he left the mbryos out for whistler to just creamate- it was hard work gone to waste cause he forgot to put them back in the incubator. One last thing- he had no real powers. SInce he is the father to all vampires, or so i thougt, I was hoping he would have some dark powers...but h had nothing. a genetic mutant killed him by rippin his neck in two... (amd how could he bite? he has no lower jaw...? but as a whole- the movie was really enjoyable- especially the final battle where they were throwing each other through walls and breaking concrete with each others' heads... that made it so much better to see that they have super str, healing ability (high con) and agility to boot. i think the CGI added a good kik. the producers made a move to CGI replacing actors in fight scenes- a bold move. Someone had to do it. I hope that in teh future- it will be a lot better- but for now- i was happy with what it had.
