This is not true and it seems you have bent the truth quite a bit. What is going on in Australia - is that the government ruled that mod chips are legal - thus Microsoft is quite peeved - because this means you can pirate games quite easily for the Xbox. With very few 3rd party developers and MS basically trying to make money off the software (aka games) this can hit them pretty hard. Sony's not too worried, as the mod chps have and always will exist and their pockets are deeper than MS. They don't see it as an issue, while MS does. I'd swear I posted here yesterday about the consoles. Anyway - my opinion is that you need to look at who is going to be playing the console and what kinds of games they will be playing. Kids tend towards the GameCube - as it is full of cute kid games like the Mario series. Xbox seems to appeal more to PC gamers who want a console. PS2 is good all around. I have a PS2 and I find that the best variety of games is on the PS2. Xbox seems too unoriginal and PC like in my opinion. If you like console RPG's by the way - PS2 is the way to go, from FInal Fantasy to Kingdom Hearts, Gauntlet Dark Legacy to Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance it is AMAZING for these. I'm totally hooked on Kingdom Hearts and can't wait to get GTA Vice CIty - which is an RPG/Action game of sorts. Yes, innovative and fun games galore on PS2! --*Rob
