[QUOTE="Phoenix8008, post: 231202, member: 211"] Yes and yes. I saw one when I was a child. While wide awake in bed, I rolled over to one side facing the door in my room and saw an apparition hovering beside my bed. It faded out at about waist level, but the upper half was distinct enough that I could tell it was looking at me carefully. It cocked its head to the side slightly, like a scientist studying some strange experiment before gradually drifting upward and dissapearing through the ceiling of my room. Better then that is the ghost that haunted the house of one of my best friends. In our teenage years, we spent alot of time at each others houses (playing D&D mostly!) and so I had many opportunties to see some different manifestations of their ghost. It was the ghost of the man who had built the house they lived in. He suicided in one of the small rooms beside the garage. That is where his presence has always been felt the strongest. I never saw this ghost personally, but every family member that lived there did. He really got mad whenever they changed HIS house. Re-roofing, adding rooms, all of this made the spirit mad and he made all sorts of noise up in the attic. He also stole small items from them. Watches, keys, hairbrushes, and other things dissapeared from normal spots to never be seen again, or to be found lying in the open again years later. There was another instance with this ghost which I did witness. Like in some of the movies, you could feel when he was around even if you couldn't see him. Between the cold and the hairs standing up on my arms, we all knew when he was around. Once when just me and my friend were in the house, a small christmas teddy bear activated by itself. It was one of those that played music if you pressed one of the paws. John (my friend) and I were in another room noticing that we both felt the presence of his ghost when the bear in another room started playing all by itself! The kicker is the physical likeness to the original house builder. They contacted the widow of the builder and described the being they had all seen and got a picture of him. It was an exact match...
