This thread is probably going to be closed soon b/c its getting too political. And btw, I would buy American only if I could find an American car that worked as well as my Toyota. 11 years and works perfectly, never been in the shop, nothing. Dealership never gave me any problems, got a great deal. All the American cars my friends have and my parents had bought sucked, they ate gas like no tommorrow, and was in the shop too many times. I love driving and not having to worry about my car dying along the way...or just plain not having to worry about it at all. And its true, alot of groups unfortunately are very ignorant. Especially the local groups. They don't have a concept of how business works on a large scale than other than their mom&pop stores. Some people have real goals, but mostly they just want someone to blame other than themselves for the mess. I'm an American and I am sorry to say that the root of our problems is that we always look for someone else to blame for them...thus why we have more lawyers per capita than any other country. As for you Ash, yeah sounds like you got a sleazy dealership, but don't blame the whole company for one dealership's sleazyness. You're going to find a bad apple in every car company's dealerships no matter who you buy a car from. Definitely get a lawyer, and check your options before dealing with the dealership further and I hope you kick his butt ;) Get the local news into it if you have to. Report them to the Better Business Bureau so other people can check up on them in the future...oh you guys use this don't you? Before you buy? Always do research before major purchases, not only on the car itself, but the dealership you purchase itself.
