This is too weird not to share...

"NOBLE, Georgia (CNN) -- Authorities arrested a Georgia man Saturday after discovering about 80 unburied and un-cremated bodies and body parts in sheds and strewn on the grounds of a crematory northwest of Atlanta. "

See the whole story here.

I always made it clear I want to be burried with my katana and my hard drive. (or whatever passes for one when I die)... Now I'm going to add a stipulation that I want my coffin welded shut.

I saw this on the local news last night... grisly stuff.

My old man works at a crematorium, prior to that he was a Homicide Investigator for 28 years... again, grisly stuff.

Whats really sad is that hte foks that run the place haven't even been charged with anything... yet.

it sounded to me like what has happened is not grave robbing, but a failure to ever put the bodies in the grave. Basically the furnaces weren't working and they just pretended to cremate people so they could continue to charge. At least that was what I got from reading in between the lines of the story.

Still - pretty bizarre stuff alright.

I think there was a liine to the effect of "....and several bodies which look to have been buried and then dug up at a later date...", although I would have to read a fairly grizzly artical again to be sure.

If this were in a D&D game I'd be searching the crematorium for somekind of arcane text or unholy symbols of Orcus. It sounds like he was trying to raise an army of skeletons and zombies.

well with the rising energy costs these days it is almost easier to just stockpile coprses rather than fire up the older incinerator.;)

clearly i jest.

this will make for some interesting reading in the days to come.

Actualy, I think that is a very modest proposal.

Oh god no, not a modest proposal.

I held the views in A Modest Proposal when I was in high school. Then my AP English teacher showed the article to me since he thought I was joking.

I had never heard of a modest proposal, but it certainly clarified my views on THAT subject.

Today I am much more generous towards the poor and homeless.

:D
