I take it this is all a twisted ad campaign for a new game they're coming out with called: "Demon: The Fallen" ... seeing as that matches the rest of their games. I've never been a HUGE White Wolf fan, but I really liked some of the aspects of Mage. Mostly, though, I stole those ideas out of the books and am working them into my own modern campaign ... far less magic, but some of the same twisted ideas. Playing a fey is sort of interesting (Changeling), playing a Mage is pretty cool (Mage), playing a Werewolf is, eh, (Werewolf), and I never could get into the whole Vampire thing. WAY too many people with bad silver jewelry and black clothes. There's only so much emotional masturbation I can stand from fat chicks and depressed geeks as they pretend to be ... ooooo ... vampires. How ... how totally ... emotional. And romantic. Demon, while no doubt more twisted than Mage, doesn't seem like it would be as interesting. I mean, you've got In Nomine for the demon/angel thing ... so just going around killing people for sadism's sake in a bid for power ... oi ... sounds like pandering directly to that totally juvenile and repressed subgroup that plays Evil Campaigns all the time and gets off on breaking the rules when they can't get caught. The ad campaign doesn't piss me off or make me laugh ... it's a little annoying. You read the comic and have to say: "Ah, yes, point for you." but it's not really THAT big an accomplishment because, in the end, it's all twisted juvenile promotion for what will be a twisted juvenile game, I do not doubt. The good side to this is I shall easily be able to weed out the nutjobs, crazies, losers, arses, and possible mass murderes by seeing who is wearing Demon: The Fallen T-Shirts and is asking me to play. "Dude, we're totally killing some passengers on a bus ... I've got loads of evil points! Soon I'll be more evil than the devil and I'll TAKE OVER!" --HT "Man it's so COOL to play a demon, man ... they hurt inside. I mean, they really hurt inside. It's ... I'm misting up over here ... give me a second."
