Flexor: LOL. Hasek will be just fine thank you. He was terrible in Games 1 and 2 vs. the Canucks, then played exceedingly well in Games 3, 4 and 5. Don't spend too much time gloating about how well Brent Johnson played against the Blackhawks -- their offense stinks. You may want to spend a little more energy reflecting on how many times Detroit has knocked St. Louis out of the playoffs, or why the Blues haven't sold out their upcoming games for Round 2 yet. Besides, the Kings could win tonight which means you'll have to face San Jose next. T-Bill: I know that Don Cherry doesn't hate American players, I was kidding. He just ADORES Canadian-born players, and Chelios ain't one of those. Holy Bovine: Thanks -- I'm glad to be back in the mix. I was also impressed by the rowdy sendoff the Canucks received, and as I noted earlier it was well deserved. I'd like to think the Wings can keep on rolling now that the entire team has gotten involved, but we'll have to see. As for the Leafs, I picked them in a one goal victory in Game 7 to move on, and I'll stand by that prediction. This series has been so completely bizarre, I don't know what to expect next. I'm betting that both teams settle into a tight game early on, and that's the way it will stay. Like you, I'm not a big Canadiens fan, but I do love the sentimental storyline around Koivu's return and young Theodore's stellar play. There are several Boston players I like, but they're not the same without Ray Bourque and Cam Neely. One final note: I've begun a new NHL Playoffs thread so that our introspective on the wide world of hockey may continue without exceeding the post count limit.
