Not only was 30 minutes and a wonderful score cut out, but some of the scenes were shown arranged in a different order.  Now you don't get a good look at Tim Curry's face until more than 60 minutes into the film. The score is fantastic, and it sounds as if Howard Shore borrowed some for his LOTR:FOTR  score.  One of the themes is very similar.The monster make-up still looks great by today's standards.</blockquote>
