(OT) Lucky Foods

Ok, New Years Day is winding down and I haven't seen this thread yet.

So What food do you eat on New Years Day for luck?

Being a southerner (well Texian actually) of course I'm required to have at least Black-eyed peas (for full Dixie treatment you have to add greens and cornbread).

Being of German descent of course means Saurkraut.

My Irish roots of course means Boiled Ham and Cabbage (translating into Corned Beef and cabbage for Irish Americans).

So what are your additions?

I have never heard of lucky foods on New Years Day

Nor have I. I just eat whatever's in the kitchen (and that's not usually much)
