His message for preschoolers was very simple, Love yourself, and love others.Fred Rodgers was also a Presbyterian minister, (his TV shows were secular) and a wrote books on child rearing, and spoke about his belief on such on TV shows world wide. Through his use of puppets, and a electric toy trolly car, Mr. Rodgers was able to take children to a magical kingdom where he was friends with a King and magical subjects alike. His stories aways revolved around the life lessons that children needed. As a child of the 70's, I feel that he will be sorely missed.(edited to remove incorrect information on Fred Rodgers.
