Maybe in Italy with the proliferation of cellular telephones it is not a status symbol, but here in the States (where cellular phones are as common as can be), it still is, with 'zany' colors and different rings, people hook their ringing collars on and go about their daily business. I wouldn't consider any allotment of brain cells as a requirement to use a cellular phone, I have seen some of the people operating the things around me, and brain cells do not seem to always fit the requirement. Anyone who advocates finding a cellular phone (not you, I know) to call a fire department during a housefire concerns me. Fire means you get out, not daudle about hunting down your leash.    As for the cancer issue, I firmly believe that the situation could go either way, and I agree that waves are bouncing off and through us frequently, but why add to it? If, in ten or twenty years cellular phones are deemed as harmless as toast (non-burnt, that is, as the carbon build-up is a carcinogen) I *might* contemplate it, but I doubt it. If society collapses, I will have one less concern. Being taught to hunt, kill and skin, I will actually have much less to be concerned about. hellbender</blockquote>
