Even though i know that tons of people are turned down when they apply for the student visa, it doesnt help. I think that partly why she was denied was due to descrimnation because Singapore is predominatly a Muslim country...its also Buddhist as well....but i just think that part of the reason she was denied was due to discrimnation because many terrorist have come into this country on student visa's.
You i understand the suspision that the government needs to have, because i agree that it should be tougher to get over here in some respects. But i dont think that everyone should have to be penilized and discrimnated against for it.
This is a great country. But i find myself losing faith in it.
They failed to protect the innocents at the WTC but now they are failing to protect those innocents who have nothing to do with the WTC in anyway. And now they are (and have been cause i know im not the only one) failing to protect their own citizens who pursue happyness.
I understand and know the need for security. And it is hard and almost impossible to tell terrorist out of a bunch of people. Also i know its not just the terrorist they are protecting against, they are protecting against those who just want to find a way over here so they can use US money and US resources to further themselves and give their kids a better life, and the government wants to look out for its citizens who are already here more so than foriengers.
But there has to be a better way than this...there has to be something that can be done...
Im a full-time student without a job so we couldnt have tried the fiancee visa. We already looked into it and there isnt anyway that i can show that i could support her over here in the US yet. So ive been appling for places, but there just hasnt been any luck. I have an interview with Citibank next week. hopefully that will work out. But it just seems no one wants to hire a college student 2 credits from an AA degree and 1 1/2 years of working exp who can type 92-96 wpm....*shrugs* But after ive been working for a year i guess we will try the fiancee visa. I just hope i get hired somewhere soon.
I guess i gotta keep my chin up...although ive though about becoming a resident of canada or mexico or mabe new zealand i doubt thats what ill do..lol...anyways....sorry for posting up here i just needed to get that out. thanks for listening guys
