I'd imagine so. I've always figured they're an acquired taste. For whatever reason, I didn't get started on drinking soft drinks as a young kid. As I got older, people started trying to get me to start drinking soft drinks* but every time I tried one I found it to be horribly disgusting. To this day, I just stick with water and I'm perfectly happy. * Looking back on it, I'm rather surprised at the number of people, even adults, who simply couldn't accept the idea that there was a kid who didn't like soft drinks and tried to "fix" that "problem". I got really tired of hearing variations on "You should try 'x' soft drink. You'll like that one." I never did. At least that was better than the kid who was convinced that if he could just get his favorite drink in my mouth I'd love it and share his addiction. He kept trying to slip me a soft drink like I wouldn't notice it wasn't water. I simply can't understand why it was so important to others that I drink soft drinks as a boy. (I don't have this problem as an adult. People just look at me funny when I tell them I don't like soft drinks now.) Frankly, I think many young people drink way too much soda. I've got a niece and a nephew, both teenagers, who drink nothing but soda all day long if you don't watch them like a hawk. That can't be good for you. Yet they seem to think this is perfectly normal.
