Re: Two Towers I press one key on that f*ing keyboard, I don't even know which one, and it erases all my answers. Oh the joy. :( The scene with Galadriel in the first movie was so heavy handed that it... suspended my suspension of disbielief. I found it handled out much better here, thanks to a very good actor: he doesn't get much screen time, but he uses it darn well. You can see the struggle in his eyes, the temptation, the pride. There could have been a bigger focus on their battle, above all since they were attacking Sarumane's own stronghold, but hardly more talking: it would have broken the very fast pace of the movie. Peter Jackson really did make the best out of a mere 3 hours. That was the second burst of cheers during the movie, the first one having occured when... Legolas got up on Gimli's horse. It may have been a tad too much, just as they may have made fun of Gimli a tad too often. Gimli asking to be tossed is funny, in itself, and a good "remember the first movie" part. Only it comes after much "dwarves are short and clumsy" funny scenes, so... :/ Hm. Yeah, agreed. The friend I was with, who loved the character in the book, loved the way she was acted in the movie and, just as you do, hopes to see her in action again in ROTK. And yes, I do agree, she's very well played. The scene with Arwen looking over an old, a dying, a dead Aragorn, then his tomb, was great. The flow of time and the sadness were rendered incredibly well, above all considering how little screen time is used.
