Re: Re: Re: Re: I don't flame. Ah, I may have gotten my signals crossed there. ;) I don't think Lucas reads many (in any) of the EU novels, especially the newer ones. Continuity is a funny thing in general. As far as I know there is not even a comprehensive collection of all the canon/EU/comic book/video game material. That would be interesting to see as I'm sure there are many things that just don't add up. As for the Lucas wanting all the EU novels to make sense with each other, that isn't something that is much of a big deal to most people. They are trumped by canon and I'm pretty certain that Lucas isn't going out of his way to stomp all over them. However if there are parts in his prequels that contradict what is in the novels he is covered because they simply aren't canon and are books only based on the stories he's told in his movies, not an official continuation. I don't blame Lucas for ignoring any of the novels that aren't novelizations of the movies. The number is too great to make any true sense of it and there are new books coming out all the time. The same holds true for the Star Trek series. If it ain't in the shows/movies it didn't officially happen and is not considered canon. Sounds good to me. :) EDIT: Grammar.
