[OT] Story Hour Anonymous

Knightfall

World of Kulan DM
Hi,

I’m Knightfall1972 and I’m a story hour addict. Not only do I read one particular story hour fanatically (Mr. P.Kitty take a bow) but started my own story hours here on EN World just because I could. And while it pains me not to be able to update them right now, it is for the best. (Seriously: Those of you who know me, know what I’m talking about.)

I am a Defenders of Daybreak addict!

What story hours are you addicted to?

p.s. Oh yes, I’m addicted to Taboo’s story hour too but can’t find it anymore. Taboo where are you?

I too am a Story Hour addict, although not as hooked as some (where are you, Horacio?). I am currently hooked on jonrog1's Drunk Southern Girls, Zombie Toddlers and Bad Aliens & None Dare Call Them Heroes, Lazybones' Travels Through the Wild West, Enk&D'Shai's Small Beginnings, and Arwink's Seldarn Empire SHs.

I am hopelessly addicted to Sagiro's Story Hour. I tried Piratecat's a while ago but entering in the middle of the story kept me from getting hooked.

Hi, eh, I'm Ts-ts-Tsunami, and I'm, uh, I'm addicted to, eh, Dr. Midnight's st-st-story hour.

I'm- I'm sorry, I just g-get really nervous at these muh-muh-muh-meetings.

Er... to help with this adiction, I've st-started my own st-story hour, as you can see below.

Click the link.

I dare you.

...

:D

Pkitty has created my biggest story hour problem.
I kicked the habit though. Tried it once, said "that's nice" then I stopped.
Then (contacts)'s RttToEE! (I was thinking about accidentally killing others PCs with a [censored] just the other night in the bath).

Feel off the wagon and landed in jonrog's dark matter, Ruined's SL, and Forceuser's Vietnam SH. It was more for the monkeys though.
I was Ok for a while though....
a few furtive peeks, some irritation that they only update once a week, but I was under control.

The twiching started again when I read the bit of Sepulchraves' SH on the druid thread.... I figured I'll just read a bit, but only because I had a vacation coming up.*
So it's been a week and Pkat only updated once, jonrog, ruined and Forceuser are playing it cool.
I'm fine though, cool, calm, collected. I'll just stay here in general and argue about rangers.

If I did go look it would just be because it was friday. You know. I wouldn't do it in the middle of the week. Those middle-of-the-week readers. -They- have problems.

*=So I printed out the earliest thread (Lady D's Virtue) before running to get on the plane for a week of in the country..... after the inital 3 posts it was 44 pages of single spaced bumps!
(I was laughing so hard at the airport it was almost worth while...)

This is the list of all the Story Hours I'm subscribed too. This list does not include all the related threads, such as Rogue's Gallery or Plots and Places threads that I also check up so I can understand the main story better...:D

Piratecat's Story Hour
Gfunk's Bastion of Broken Souls
Agents of Chaos by the Jester
Sagiro's Story Hour
Sepulchrave's Story Hour (yup, I've read all of them)
In Hextor's Name (two authors)
As The Two Sisters Watched (alsih2o)
d20 Modern - League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Seldarn Empire - Copperheads (arwink)
Divertimento (Sepulchrave)
Lost City of Gaxmoor (many authors, including myself. Does it still count? :))
Sniktch's Story Hour - city of the Spider Queen
The Unnusual Heroes Enter The City of the Spider Queen (Ziona)
Seldarn Empire - The Mega Module Jam (arwink)
Merak's Story Hour

so...am I an addict, then? :)

Hey Tallarn,

Your not an Addict until you read our (mine and Enk's) story hour also. I mean come on what's one more?:D

And Dungannon thank you for admitting in public that you read it, not many people would fess up to that.

With my free time I try to enjoy them all, which doesn't leave me enough time to post to them, just read them. I think they are wonderful and every author out there deserves a hand for posting. I know how much time can go into doing one and I would like to thank you all. I have enjoyed seeing how other tables and storytellers run their games.

Hi My Name is Delgar and I'm a story hour lurker! I just, I just can't stop myself, so much creativity!

The one story hour that I check frequently is:

Seasong's Light against the dark! I highly recommend it to anyone. It's got a different feel to it, and he posts regularly (almost once every week day).

I of course am guilty of Printing out Piratecats entire storyline and reading it to my wife before bed every night for two months. We enjoyed it immensly.

I also did the same with Wulf's story hour, which I miss because Wulf kicked butt!

Lurk mode on.

Delgar
