Mine isn't about dollar cost ... its about how useful it was ... while I may NEVER use the Epic Level Handbook or Psionics Handbook but I don't count them as complete wastes of cash and time ... the Psi Handbook showed me how you can take a thing ... like the sorcerer and make an entire new system from it ... making whole new feats and abilities that are JUST LIKE SOMETHING ELSE and then all you have to do is fill in some holes and voila ... agh Yeah Mr Geezerjoe, we know you were looking for something new and we're giving it to you ... see this? NO, its not a wand ... its a Dorje. They are completely different! See this cool thing ... no its not a wand ... its a tattoo that allows you to use an ability ONCE and then it's gone ... yeah I know it SOUNDS like a scroll ... but this isn't no paper .. its on your SKIN. Psha. ... plus I expected that the Epic Level Handbook to allow some really incredible gaming ... I've got some issues with it too ... (seems like instead of allowing the game to scale up exponentially or give ideas on playing in different dimensions or planes, it caps the power curve to be subdued somewhat and doesn't really add that much new functionality ... in that vein I think FFG did a slightly better job with their Legendary Classes idea) I learned some things from both books so they aren't complete wastes of cash (close to $70 worth) ... nope ... the worst was something that I purchased for close to $10 ... I can't remember the name but it was some sort of "This is how you play this character class" book ugh ... about the only thing I can think of is giving this as a gift to someone with NO imagination ... ugnh l8r Joe2Old
