[QUOTE="photon1966, post: 156987, member: 1575"] It does indeed require courage to confront these people. Unfortunatly they all to often see it as an attack on themselves and not as an honest attempt to try and have them see their behaviour as im proper. I have been fortunate to have grown up in the same area all my years (36). Going through school you saw the same people every year, few changes and again fortunate for me every colour in the rainbow, every religion under the sky. It gave me a great base as well well as parents who did care. Being a science nerd, gamer, and 6' when every one else was just growing set me apart. And yes there was a few people who weren't nice, but as I was a nice person, helpful, etc. I found I was similarly treated for 95% of the time. I try to do the same in my life, being helpful, looking at the glass half full and over time and awareness not complaining, but doing stuff. I walk in Aids, MS, and Cancer walks. I try to always be helpful if directions are asked, and when I have people over or go to their homes I try make sure every one has a good time. Yes there are rude and annoying people in the world, but if you do your best not to be one, and I hope most people do, no matter how much someone may piss you off. Just try and be cordial and friendly. I try my best no to wish ill on others, even really nasty people, I try to understand why they are the way they are and maybe just being to much of an optumist I hope to somehow help them. For example my moms car wasn't working and we had to wait for the tow truck. She was all "humph" and "Where is he?" and "Whats taking him so long?" I just said to her, be happy were not in Israel, or Afganistan, or so many other places. Were healthy, it's only an hour, were not expected anywhere, just relax and he'll get there when he gets here. He did, the car started up, I went to get some take out dinner and she went home. Everyone happy. I just think people don't look at how good they have it and appreciate just how lucky we all are.
