Greetings! Wow. There was one time I was relaxing at home with my wife, and there was a knock at the door. A man was desperate, and needed help immediately! Someone was trying to steal his car! I ran out with him to find his car a little ways away. A strange man was inside it, in the driver's seat. I questioned the man quickly about the man's actions. The owner said that it didn't appear that the man was armed, but was still persisting in trying to physically take the man's car. I then leaped upon the man from the passenger side of the car, and struggled with him briefly as I locked him in a choke-hold. Soon, I had the man on the ground, subdued. In a few minutes, the police arrived. (Before leaving, I had told my wife to call the police.) The police took the man into custody, and questioned me as well. The police sergeant commended me on my actions, and my judgment. The accused was arrested, and secured. The other man recieved custody of his Mercedes back, and was at peace. I returned to my home, and sat down to dinner with my wife. My wife and friends sometimes question my judgment when I got involved with this situation, and in other situations, where kids were swearing in front of women, and where a man was being abusive to his girlfriend. I explained that the police were on the way, and when his girlfriend was screaming for help, and *I* could hear her, that *made it* my business. He saw how large I am, and decided that it would be wiser not to challenge me as I stood outside his door in the courtyard. His girlfriend thanked me, as did the police. More importantly, my neighbors were appreciative. My friends and family question me sometimes, because they think that I could get killed. I could. I don't mind though. What we have to do, as citizens, as Americans, is stand up against barbarism. We have to stand against the tide of moral corruption. If someone cries out for help, and you don't answer the call, who will? I believe that strengthening our community begins with *you* and me, as it were. The jackals in our midst count on everyone around them being fearful and apprehensive to get involved. Well, too bad. They can fear me. I'm certainly not going to live in fear of any man. I just can't. Everything that I value relies on me having the courage to be willing to fight for my values. The criminal, the predator, the jackal, they need to know that we will all get involved. Think about it this way: What if when ever there was an assault, rape, robbery, vandalism, or other such screaming mayhem, one or a group of local people, armed as necessary, swooped in to stabilize the situation until the arrival of the police? A constant, passionate, and skilled response by citizens everywhere, at all times. That situation would not make the jackals happy. It would make the very environment hostile to the kind of actions that they want to indulge in. Our society at one time was like this. We should be inspired to get involved with our communities at any point of need. I would have dressed those idiots down, right there, in front of everyone. I would have openly exposed their petty villainy to all in the store, to not only enlist others support for me, but also to uphold their actions and attitudes to general shame and scorn. Hopefully, it would inspire others in the group, and shame the jackals that thought it was so effing funny. Not in my book, it isn't. It's a shame. I agree it is just so desperately petty and wicked. Our society swims in such pettiness. It's disgusting. Carry on my friends!:) Semper Fidelis, SHARK
