That gig had me screaming! Absolutely hilarious! One of the Danish newspapers just posted some stats today froma a new survey that measured the amount of people who had a BMI of more than 30 (given that normal range is considered 20-25 for men, 19-25 for men and everything above 27 is considered a "danger zone" - this is quite a lot). The survey only covers 14 Western nations, and mentions that England and Germany are fast catching up with the US as the fattest Western nation. At the bottom of the statistic is France - followed by Denmark and Sweden. Denmark has seen an alarming raise from 150,000 people with a BMI of 30 in 1997 to 400,000 this year! According to the study, a BMI of 30+ increases the risk of heart diseases by 50%. On a related note - being somewhat of a nutrition fanatic myself - portions DO matter - A LOT! Most people still eat 3 large meals a day when 6 smaller meals spread out between 3 hours periods during the day is much, much healthier and a much more efficient way of energy consumption (especially if you're active). And cut out the "fat" in food - it's for arctic animals and birds who need to survive the winter :p . No wonder, low-fat products have torn into the market big-time in this country.... ;) -Zarrock
