I give a rat's a$$. Dogget and Reyes were supposed to be the new main characters, but somewhere along the way they decided to keep Scully and end the show instead. This was built up as one of the focul points of his character and I'm glad that they aren't leaving us hanging. I thought it out of character that Scully would decide to give up her son after everything she's done for him. Why is it that a few scary but obvious words from Spender managed to convince her to give up on her dream of motherhood? And how does this make William more safe just because he's adopted out? More likely whatever branch of the government that wants to capture/study/kill him will have an even easier time doing it now that he's in the hands of people that don't even have a beginning of a clue. I wasn't surprised by the DNA tests, but I never once believed that the burned man was Mulder. I was shocked that it turned out to be Spender. Also now we have confirmation of sorts that Mulder is CSM's son. Overall, I'm looking forward to the return of Mulder and hoping that the final episode isn't a cop out. To date my favorite episode is still the season finale for season 3.
