Other groups’ web sites: what’s most interesting?

Ok, I was browsing Ruben Smith-Zempel’s tips for building a campaign website (published here in Johnn Four’s roleplayingtips newsletter… great resource by the way). Under #2, “Consider your audience,” Ruben writes, “if the audience is everyone on the net, make sure you provide some information that will interest everybody and keep them coming back (easier said than done).”

So I ask you, what have you found interesting and kept you coming back to other groups’ campaign web sites and/or blogs?

Note: The poll question is not what might interest you. It’s not hypothetical. The question is what have you seen that actually does interest you.

This poll is not about your own group’s web site, only what you have found interesting on other groups’ sites. Also please don’t answer hypothetically.

This is part one of a poll on group web sites. (The other part is here.)

I WOULD vote, but....

I want to select pretty much every option. I have been turned on to MANY aspects of MANY different campaign sites. Also, one for me that would go under other is website design/layout. I am a computer geek also, and love code, and like to see well made and well designed webpages.

I love looking at other people's maps.

But I also like sites that have a good sense of history - like a homebrew setting that has been played in for 10 years or more.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. In general, other people's gaming sites don't interest me.

But then, I'm the sort who doesn't like to watch sports, either. The fun is in the doing, not in the observing.

I voted Other. The Most important to me now? The pictures of the game table. I want to actually see the people playing the game and get a feel of what it's like.

I'm mainly interested in two things for two reasons:
Maps and world fluff: These things often go into play folder for other planes. I like to have a great mass of different planes (and not every plane should be planescape-esque strange), so other worlds are perfect to populate my endless planes.
Player/DM/House rule crunch: I just like to see crunch, because it often helps to understand the d20 mechanics better, and because I can just pick and adjust interesting things - or if a see thigs I don't like, I've got an inspiration to do the things better, or rather in a way I like more.
