Well, let's try a thread that is more worthwhile this time.

This one is for all you HARD-CORE gamers out there.

I'm not sure if this will work, but this is my plan... I was hoping to post a memorable quote from a non-super-obscure RPG sourcebook. If you can guess the book that it comes from, you get to post the next obscure quote.

The only hitch I see in this process is that people's opinion on what is a "memorable" or "non-super-obscure" quote or sourcebook is.

Anyway, here's the first one (if you happen to know who I am IRL, you may not guess at this):

Hmmm. Pants aren't torpedoes, so it isn't a WW2 sea battle game. And Sluggy Freelance has replacement pants, but that's different. And you said "not obscure", so that leaves out HoL and Spawn of Fashan.

Hint: is it a d20 supplement, or a separate game?

It is a separate game... non d-20. Older than 3e by a good margin.

I imagine quite a few people on the boards have played it however....
