Yep, they were all d&d minis. It was a lot of fun having them spread all over the map like that. In all, I think it went something like (with the figure first (and the role it played in parenthesis, if it's not already obvious) x the number of figures on the table: The Horde Hobgoblin Marshall (hobgoblin regulars) x 22 Hobgoblin Archer (hobgoblin warriors) x17 Hobgoblin Impaler (hobgoblin warriors) x 18 Hobgoblin Sergeant (hobgoblin veterans) x14 Urthok the Vicious (hobgoblin sergeants) x6 Hobgoblin Warrior (Doom Hand Cleric) x5 (but they were mostly invisible!) Red hand War Sorcerer (Kulkor Zhul War Adept) x2 Red Hand War Sorcerer (Doom Hand War Sorcerer) x1 Hobgoblin Bladebearer x6 Blood Ghost Beserkers x10 Bluespawn Thunderlizards x4 Graypeak Goblin Archer (goblin worg riders) x4 Snig, Worg Rider x4 Ogres x8 Manticore x3 Hill Giant x2 Hell Hound x4 Green Dragon (Ozyrrandion) Bugbear (Wyrmlord Koth) Talon of Tiamat (Wyrmlord Kharn) The Allies Commoner (militia) x10 Farmer (militia) x10 Militia Archer (militia) x10 Phalanx Soldier (soldier) x17 Royal Guard (veteran soldier) x9 Standardbearer (captain) x3 Sword of Heironeous (Captain Soranna Anitah) x1 Mercenary Sergeant (Captain Marakat - an NPC I added early in the adventure) x1 Free League Ranger (Jorr Natherson) x1 Merchant Guard (cavalry) x5 Inspired Lieutenant (cavalry captain) x2 Heavy Warhorse x7 Halfling Slinger x10 Wild Elf Barbarian (Tiri Kitor Hunter) x12 Moon Elf Fighter (Killiar Arrowswift) x1 Celestial Giant Owl x5 Dwarf Battlerager (dwarf mercenaries) x10 Gold Dwarf Soldier (local dwarf fighters) x5 Devotee of the Silver Flame (clerics) x4 Cormyrean War Wizard (local wizards) x3 The mooks kept coming back on both sides (though mostly the hordes') as reinforcements, which kept things ticking over and made sure that the players thought about the best way to use their resources. I made stat cards for each creature type and had damage sheets (everything was numbered), which made keeping track of everything pretty smooth. I also used some of the skirmish rules to simplify things (such as set damage against everyone except the PCs and BBGs, etc). I also had some blanket rules, such as no AoO for the mooks, no area dispel, etc.
