Heh.  A group of 7 Orc-Gnoll crossbreeds poured up out of a stairwell while the rest of the party was distracted fighting a group of oozes.. it was me and the bard... now, these orc - gnoll crossbreeds are real heavies.. each had around 25 hp, ac 17, and can either claw claw bite or swing a greataxe.. and we were in charging range.. so the bard dropped a grease right at the exit of the stairwell, and as they exited, most of em  dropped or stopped.. then I spun around with a fireball.. and amazingly, with 5d6, I rolled 5 sixes and a four.. I was in awe as 5 out of 7 were killed outright.. and the other two never even got up. A couple rounds later, we went downstairs, and were ambushed by 10 more Gulars (orc/gnolls).. and this time, I hit 7 of them and our cleric.. (he was an aasimar, so I counted on a save and fire resist to protect him).. this time, two 6's, one 5, one 4, and a 1- for 22 points.  Talk about being on fire!heh.anyway, have a good weekend all.</blockquote>
