Up at the top of the page, there's a (probably grey) bar. Off to the right on the bar, you should see your username. Click on that, and it will open a menu that has "Signature" as an item.

Alternatively, open the link of your username in a new tab. It will take you to your account details. In the left navbar of your account details page, you should find "Signature". Click it, and it will take you to the page for editing your signature.

How does one add a cover photo? I keep getting a "server error."

I've also looked around to see whether I can find any information about expected aspect ratio, resolution, etc. for cover photos, but I haven't yet been successful.
