[QUOTE="Kobold Stew, post: 6796675, member: 23484"] Solace wakes up a second time, and is promptly dropped by Kago. She vomits the remains of her stomach contents onto the bridge where she has been knocked. and struggles to stand. Raza is there helping her. "Thank you, mother," Solace says. Her eyes do not focus fully, and there are cuts on her face, from debris. She sees the light she had cast by the second stalactite door still blazing, and a few other points of light around and below her. She is weary with the fight, which has been uncompromising. For a moment she thinks of lying down in her cell again, waiting for the morning clarion from... No. They were all dead now. Surely. She struggles to her knees, and dry heaves for a few seconds, and then begins to laugh, as she notices she still has the shimmer glittering around her from the protection spell that had been cast on her. She is sweating, as if her body is expelling all the toxins from her system. There are voices below her, and she starts to look over the rail, gets dizzy, and leans back. She pulls herself to her feat, only now ready to assess whether there were any threats remaining. None, except perhaps the halforc. But no, not even him. What had he said? She struggled to recall the words. She spits, trying to remove the bad taste from her mouth. "Be right back," she says to Kago. Then, in orcish, "This debt will be paid; I don't want to owe you." It was as close to gratitude as the language permits. She pulls herself towards the first stalactite, where she had left her possessions in the heat of battle. Into the stalactite, up the ladder, into the upper chamber. Darkness. She casts the light spell (snuffing the one by the second door) on the shard still held in her hand. She looks around the room. She retrieves her possessions, looking around for her cash and her letter, both of which seem to have been removed. She sheds her prison wear, and dons there old leather armour. She had made it herself, and it meant something to her. Its comforting fit offered some familiarity, even if she was in need of a wash. She packed up, and took an extra hand crossbow and as many bolts as she could manage. This thing might prove useful, she thought. The shard slid into her belt as she retrieved her own knife. It had proved useful, though, and continued to illuminate her work. She also took one of the suits of studded leather. Though it would not hang on her nearly as well as did her own, the slight additions in protection may be useful. (At this point, she continues to remain unaware of what the shimmering around her is or means.) She is something of herself again. Onto the second stalactite. She sees Kamael and Kago, and can now hear the others more clearly below her. "Is there a way down?" she asks, looking at the body of Asha. She helps where she can. The lock picks in her hand are there, and, in time, she is ready to try her hand at the locked chest. "Let me try to be of some help," she says. There is disappointment in her voice, at herself.
