Jotunheim - land of the giants, is a plane of extremes - towering mountains, bottomless oceans, never-ending blizzards and continuously erupting volcanos. Some of the giants inhabit the more moderate areas of the plane, but most must at least some point venture into the extreme areas of their world for food, water or materials. There are even some that remain and thrive in the wildest areas - and among those some have found portals that allow them to bleed and raid into the prime material. The Beastlands - misguidingly known as the Happy Hunting Grounds by those that badly understand its true nature is a land of animals and animal spirits. The vast plane is a conglomeration of extreme climates that seemlessly melds together. All of it is filled with teeming, healthy and hale wildlife with each species lorded over by a council of enlarged specimens of unnatural cunning and size. Atop this council is the Great Spirit of each species, which for all intents and purposes is the epitome and simultaneously collective consciousness of its component members. Each of these Great Spirits time is involved in ensuring the survival of its members both in the Beastlands and on the Prime. For the most part, the Great Spirits work together to ensure the circle of life continues for all, but there are times that individual Spirits may work against each other - or hold grudges against another spirit. However, that is not to say that the beastlands are a friendly and serene place. Predators practice their hunting skills here, and prey animals practice their defensive horns, tusks and evasion on anyone that hunts them. Foolish prime material hunters will quickly find themselves the hunted in this land, while petitioners may come to learn the secret knowledge or lore a Great Spirit might impart to upon them. Oozeland - isn't that the paraelemental plane of Ooze (Mud), between Earth and Water? I'll let someone tackle that one...
