Especially considering that the FGG folks represent players of all three games between them. I primarily run PF along with John, Bill and Matt mainly do S&W, and Chuck & Chris are mainly 5e. Skeeter does S&W and PF, not sure of his 5e status.But mainly I wanted give a little background/explanation to give context to qu0zl's comments.FGG does PF and S&W on all their books whenever possible. Our Perilous Vistas line (<a href="https://froggodgames.com/dunes-desolation" target="_blank">Dunes of Desolation</a>, <a href="https://froggodgames.com/fields-blood" target="_blank">Fields of Blood</a>, the upcoming Mountains of Madness, etc.) provide rules for different environmental types. Since they are mainly built on derivations of PF rules for which S&W does not have specific equivalents, we only do PF versions of them because an S&W version would end up being about the size of a pamphlet. So those are exceptions, but in general we will do all our books in S&W and PF as a minimum.In those editions, our sales have generally been roughly 67% PF and 33% S&W (going from memory here, so don't quote me). Healthy numbers for both with good core groups of fans, so we will continue to do these.Since the advent of 5e, we have released some books like <a href="https://froggodgames.com/fifth-edition-foes" target="_blank">Fifth Edition Foes</a> and the <a href="https://froggodgames.com/book-lost-spells" target="_blank">Book of Lost Spells</a>, which sold well, but our primary 5e releases since then have been our <a href="https://froggodgames.com/quests-doom-volume-1-5e" target="_blank">Quests</a> <a href="https://froggodgames.com/quests-doom-volume-2-5e" target="_blank">of</a> <a href="https://froggodgames.com/quests-doom-2" target="_blank">Doom</a> adventure anthologies, which have also done really well and which we will continue to produce.The question, really, is our campaign setting/adventure path style books. Just because the adventure anthologies (a type of product that WotC has not really been covering) do well does not mean that people will be interested in buying our campaign setting books and adventure path types of books (something that WotC is already covering very well). Since it takes a considerable initial investment to print a 5e book, we can't afford to just automatically make a 5e version of every book unless we know that the market is there for it. Sure there are a lot of 5e fans, but do they want to invest in Lost Lands campaign books or adventure paths? That's our real question. So Borderland Provinces is a campaign setting book and is not as large as some of our others, so it doesn't cost us quite as much to print. So we decided to go ahead and commit to printing a 5e version to test the market. We hope that a ton of 5e fans jump on board and demand more Lost Lands stuff from FGG, but it is not at the expense of our PF or S&W fans. We'll continue doing PF and S&W versions regardless. We just want to see that if it comes time for 5e fans to vote with their wallets, what kinds of products they'd really like to see from us. And this Borderland Provinces KS is our means to determine that to see if the interest level for 5e materials in our campaign setting and adventure path books exists in enough volume to financially support us doing them as well.so this is your chance to let us know, 5e fans. If, rather, you think WotC already has those kinds of materials already pretty well locked up for 5e, we want to know that too.
