I, too, am a supplementaholic. It began, as I'm sure many other stories begin, when I was but a wee boy. "Collect them all." They sung to me, those tiny letters on a cardboard package. I wasn't content to simply have He-Man and Skeletor, I needed all their friends. Mossman. Stinkor. Orko. My tiny childhood mind knew no better. I had to collect the "good guys" and the "bad guys" - my fragile young form didn't know how to pronounce the word "evil." Flash forward a few years. I am the proud owner of a AD&D 2nd edition Player's Handbook, complete with picture of guy on horse with sword. Man, what a cool picture. My allowances are handed over to a sweaty man behind the counter of a comic store. The DMG. Monstrous Compendium. Ohhh, how sweet it was. But then - what's this? "The Complete Thief's Handbook?" You mean there are MORE BOOKS for this game? One by one, they make their way into my posession. More and more I spend. The "used" bin at the store sings out to me, with its sweet siren song of "hey! stuff you never bought when it was new, over here! come buy us! buy ussss!" He complains about two feet of books. Hah. I need two feet of books to properly stat out an orc. My name is Matt, and I'm a supplementoholic.
