Boy, you sure are right about the message icons; I didn't even notice. My apologies for that. I've edited my comment in the thread, for what it's worth, and I'll actually look at the darn icon from now on. Force of habit.

As for the closing, first please be aware that we typically handle these discussions by email. There is a general policy that thread closings are discussed privately.

I'll gladly answer your question, though. OT threads are always potentially shut-down-able at any time at the whim of a moderator. When I logged on, there was a whole mess of them. I closed the ones which were content-free (NOT yours), which applied primarily to one person instead of to a number of people, and which seemed to have had their questions already answered. Yours fell into the latter category thanks to Djeta.
