Paizo recent job listings and salaries.

I thought this was interesting. On two fronts, seeing what is on offer and the fact Paizo is hiring. Both cool.

I'm glad to realise that the full time salaries at a tiny company like mine are very competitive with those at the largest TTRPG companies!

A little odd that the remote option positions are only for remote from Washington, Oregon, and Indiana.

I wonder if that has to do with specific state laws for those states.

I assume Paizo is not set to handle income taxes for arbitrary jurisdictions and only wants to hire where their system already supports.

I applaud Paizo for posting salary ranges with their job postings. Companies should do that - transparency in expectations is good for everyone IME.

But I can see why people move into computer game design/dev when they can out of tabletop if that's what industry salaries look like.

Oh, wow. I don't think I'd ever take an exempt position for $42k a year. But then it's not like I have the talent or drive to be an RPG writer. Once again, I am reminded of why RPGs are a part-time gig for so many creative people.

The Test Engineer and Editor both give ranges, so you can kind of see what the wiggle room might be. It's not much.
