Paladin Help

I'm playing in an online Eberron game, and my character is a human Fighter4/Paladin 2 of Dol Arrah. He wields a greathammer (from either Warcraft or the Scarred Lands, whichever it is in) and his current feats are Power Attack, Powerful Charge, Heroic Spirit, Weapon Focus (greathammer), Weapons Specialization (greathammer), and the Virtue feat Mercy (from the Scarred Lands Guide to Monks & Paladins). Yeah, he's pretty optimized for skull-crushin' goodness and the smiting of his enemies, but I'd like to go in a more creative direction with him - maybe try for a prestige class that involves creation of magic weapons or armor. There are story reasons for it - he's an ex-soldier for the nation of Breland who felt a higher calling, and he wants there to be some greater meaning to his life beyond destruction, even if it is destruction of evil. I'm looking for just about anything that could help in future levels - feats that might be helpful, prestige class ideas, basically anything. The DM is OK with most outside material, as long as it doesn't blatantly break the setting, so that isn't a problem. It's currently a two-player game, with the possibility of a third player, and the other player is a human sorcerer - so I generally do the tank work, but I'd like to branch out. In any case, thanks for any suggestions y'all might have.

If you're interested in making magic items (particularly weapons & armor), take a look at Races of Stone. I can't recall what the Prestige Class is called, but there's a 5-level PrC in there for Dwarves (I think) that gives you Craft Magic Arms & Armor as a bonus feat, and gives you a caster level equal to triple your class level for purposes of crafting them- so if there's a Cleric and/or a Wizard in the party, you'd be great at making weapons & armor. It's for Dwarves (I think), but you could talk with your DM for adapting it slightly to allow a Human to take it. It shouldn't be too far of a stretch, in my opinion, since you're limiting yourself by voluntarily taking a more interesting route. Check it out, and tell him you got UltimaGabe©'s approval!

The Annointed Knight from the BoED might interest you. You don't actually craft arms and armor, but you do craft a magical oil which empowers an ancestral relic (weapon or armor), strengthening it more and more as you level up.

Another option is (since you obvious can use Sl stuff) Iron Knight. I'm reasonable sure they can craft stuff. If not, try perhaps using a good number of bonding rituals. I'm sure that could work in your paladin's favor.

Races of Stone has several ways to make magic weapons and armor without even having PRCs. Check out the Anvils.
