As he came within a hundred paces of the warrior, the battles stopped everywhere else; it was the knight on the white horse facing Mord the Warlord, the slayer of a thousand elves, the plague of mankind, the conquerer of the halls of the Grey Mountain dwarves. Mord coldly gazed at the knight before drawing his black battle axe, charging forward. The knight pushed the heels into the flanks of his horse, setting of into a charge. Moments before the clash of the two combatants, the knight released the hand controlling the horse, grabbing his sword in two hands. The sword burst into a white flame almost blinding the orcish warlord, and a battle cry left the mouth of the knight as the sword brought down upon the helmet of the orc. Orcs and humans alike could see, in triumph or despair, how the head of the warlord exploded in a white flash, and the silence of the viewers was so great that they could hear the thud when the orc hit the ground. The knight raised his blade over his head, celebrating his victory with a battle cry. The orcs fled like rats from a sinking ship as the humans chased them down and killed them to the last enemy.</em></p><p><em>After the battle, the knight left before anyone had the opportunity to thank or reward him. The tale of the shining knight was related many generations after the battle."</em></p><p></p><p>The roles of the paladin are many; some paladins are hunters of evil, others primarily help out the poor and unfortunate. Still others act as advisors to kings and nobles, to make their decisions the best for the people of the kingdoms. A zealots takes the role of the holy warrior. They will be where the armed forces of evil are great, always in the front line, acting as a model to the armed forces of Good. In return for their sacred courage, the gods of Good and Law gives them the willpower to resist temptation and fear, and divine strength to crush evil wherever it shows.</p><p></p><p>Requirements</p><p>BAB: +7</p><p></p><p>Feats: Power attack, Cleave, Mounted combat, Iron will</p><p></p><p>Skills: Knowledge (religion) 8 ranks, Diplomacy (for fire speaches) 8 ranks.</p><p></p><p>Spells Lvl 1+ Divine spells</p><p></p><p>Special: Must have ability to smite, any ability with that name is acceptable.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Class abilities</p><p>BAB: +1/level</p><p>Saves: Good Will, bad Fort and Ref.</p><p></p><p>Lvl Ability</p><p>1 Holy devotion</p><p>2 Beacon (+1)</p><p>3 Smite +1/day</p><p>4 Great cleave</p><p>5 Beacon (+2)</p><p>6 Smite +2/day</p><p>7 Divine channel</p><p>8 Beacon (+3)</p><p>9 Smite +3/day</p><p>10 Wrath of the gods</p><p></p><p><strong>Holy devotion</strong> The zealot gains a +1 bonus to Will saves per class level. He/she also continues his/her advancement in smite with this class (that is, a Pal 8/Zealot 4 smites like a Pal 12).</p><p></p><p><strong>Beacon</strong> The zealot is a model of courage and bravery as he fights in the front line. As long as the zealot is standing, his/her allies get the listed bonus on Will saving throws. This ability is in effect for everyone seeing him/her, and as long as the zealot is attacking in the front line. For this ability to work, the zealot must wear a half plate, full plate or breast plate. He or she must also have all his or her weapons and armor polished and in perfect condition.</p><p></p><p><strong>Smite</strong> The zealot gains extra smites with these abilities. </p><p></p><p><strong>Fervor</strong> The zealot gains Great cleave.</p><p></p><p><strong>Divine channel</strong> Through the use of one energy channel, the zealot casts Holy sword as a free action.</p><p></p><p><strong>Wrath of the gods</strong> Once per week, against an evil enemy of at least 3/4 of the HD of the zealot, the zealot can release all of his/her smites in one attack, totalling the damage of them all (but not the to hit chance). This attack is always epic in nature, accompanied by signs of the god, like the sun bursting from the cloud, a choir of celestials, or the blinding burst of light in the flavor text above. The stress of channeling all this power through one mortal deals 1 temporary Str damage per Smite used.</p><p></p><p></p><p>PS: This class is made to have an invincible Will saving throw and the ability to strike hard against evil.
