Message: <blockquote data-quote="Kobold Avenger" data-source="post: 33929" data-attributes="member: 779">There's the Demon Lord Pale Night who I believe was introduced and described in Fiends: Faces of Evil a 2e Planescape product, and later mentioned in both Defenders of the Faith and the new Manual of the Planes.  She's mentioned as being the mother of Graz'zt, Lupercio and Vucarik, and lives on Baphomet's layer of the Abyss.  It sort makes me wonder if she's something like the Hive Mother of at least the Tanar'ri race.But for those of you who bother to use some of the things in the Gord novels, which isn't exactly canon material.  Isn't Grazz't something like a member of another demon race called the Abbot-Dolor?  And by extension if you were to combine the official material with those novels, wouldn't that imply by extension that Pale Night, her other children and Iuz (at least partially) would all be members of that race.Now since those novels are hard to find (I've only ever read the first one), just what are the Abbot-Dolor?  Anyone have any theories about them and their relationship with other demons many the Tanar'ri, Graz'zt and Pale Night?</blockquote>
