The king of the region decides that enough is enough, and his reputation is hurting from not protecting his people. With the help of his mage advisor he marshals his troops for war against the fey regent via a gateway to the Feywild, telling his troops to kill any fey child they see in retaliation. The fey regent sees this as the beginning of an inquisition (as the king's forefathers had done) which will ultimately leave many fey and humans dead and wipe out magic from the land. The fey regent likewise prepares for war, determined to kill the king and all his "cursed" children to spare needless suffering.Enter the PCs to find the faerie kidnappers, rescue the children, and mend relations between the fey regent and king.
