Paralysis Cure? (touched by a Ghoul)

taliesin15

First Post
For some reason, I cannot find a cure for Paralysis from a Ghoul attack anywhere in the D&D corebooks. It seemed to me there used to be some sort of spell or what-have-you that a Cleric and Paladin could render, but maybe I was just conflating scenes from Fellowship of the Ring (i.e. Tom Bombadil & the Barrow-Wights)...

Also, please respond directly to my personal email: pulldownpress@yahoo.com as the last time I posted this question, there were few responses, and I had to leaf through like 10-15 pages of questions after a few days to see the paltry response.

It's a fair statement that you'll get a better response if you don't chide people at the same time you're asking a question.

In ant case, you must have missed remove paralysis. From the SRD:

Remove Paralysis
Conjuration (Healing)
Level: Clr 2, Pal 2
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Targets: Up to four creatures, no two of which can be more than 30 ft. apart
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)

You can free one or more creatures from the effects of any temporary paralysis or related magic, including a ghoul’s touch or a slow spell. If the spell is cast on one creature, the paralysis is negated. If cast on two creatures, each receives another save with a +4 resistance bonus against the effect that afflicts it. If cast on three or four creatures, each receives another save with a +2 resistance bonus.

The spell does not restore ability scores reduced by penalties, damage, or drain.

I think the problem stems from a change in nomenclature in 3.0/3.5 whereas the 2nd ed spells were Cure XXX the 3.0/3.5 are more often than not Remove XXX.
