Aid provides a morale bonus. Prayer provides a luck bonus. They stack. Yes. Summoned monsters can attack the moment the spell is completed. Since summoning spells take one full round to cast, this means the monsters go into action the round after the wizard started casting the spell. (And the wizard gets his full action that round, too.) The square the caster was in when the spell was cast. Note that savvy casters often cast their spell, then move, negating any advantage gained from a Listen check. ;) There's no actual rule to cover this. I'd probably just allow that the other PCs noticed out of convenience, but I think the way your DM did it was excellent. The spell description of Hold Person says that "a winged creature who is held cannot flap its wings and falls. A swimmer can't swim, and may drown." So I'd say your DM is justified in stating that the PC was knocked down, though another DM might rule that the blow didn't connect in such a way to knock the PC down. Usually, you do indeed need the feat. She could have used the area dispel. Yes. Yes. So long as they're hostile (to him or his allies,) yes. Should they immediately cease to attack the fighter and allies, then the caster might be able to pursuade the fighter that they aren't. The spell makes the fighter think of the caster as his friend. If your friend asked you to answer another guy's questions, what would your response be? If you thought of the other guy as your foe, then you might not answer regardless of what your "new friend" asks. If your "new friend" has convinced you that the other guy is also an ally, then probably you'd answer the questions.Just one comment. Next time, try looking in the PHB before asking a slew of questions. Most of your answers are right there in the spell descriptions. :p
