Party!!!

My player out!

I need help brainstorming a party.

I run a one-PC campaign. I have all sorts of unusual adventures that have been about skills in 3.5. You've all been so helpful in the past and I'm asking for help in brainstorming an event.

Her character, a bard/rogue, just finished a successful run of three musical plays, culminating in her turn in the role of Isolde in the Tristan and Isolde opera. During rehearsals, she solved a backstage murder mystery. After a successful run, she's hosting a cast party on her ship before sailing out. My player has been researching the DnD versions of liquor costs, catering, decorations and everything. She's really into this stuff.

I need help making this memorable for about 20 minutes. We're looking for fun and funny as the tone.

The elements to brainstorm with:

It's Freeport and she's defeated the mad cultists in the first adventure.

The gnome conductor and theater owner will be there, along with his aasimar costume designer.

One of the female actresses hates her character.

There's a number of extras who have grown to like her, especially since she saved the day on opening night.

The dullard cop who helped out, Sargeant Durph, has been invited.

She invited her crew, which includes humans and barely civilized Paizo goblins.

She has a sorceress first mate who's learning magic in an associate's degree program at the Freeport Institute.

Her brother, the beefy warrior, will be there to make sure that nobody hits on his sister, the PC.

The ship's medic/chaplain has an on-again/off-again flirtation with her.

There's a lot of liquor. And it's on a boat.

Any help you can give me is great!

The female actress rival should have a small lapdog that is constantly at risk of being caught by the Paizo goblins and turned into stew.... more of an opportunity to RP the attempt to teach the goblins how to behave in society than anything else, and good for a few laughs...

Let's see...

The sorceress casts some sort of spell to assist the party (unseen servant, tenser's floating disk), but for some reason you can develop later, the spell is more potent than its intention (the unseen servant gets its own personality and mannerisms, the disk moves much faster than necessary, or can't be commanded, etc).

Two unlikely NPCs at the party (The cop and a member of the crew, a cast member and the ship's conductor) have History, that makes for an awkward situation she should possibly resolve.

A stow-away is caught mid-party. More than likely some street urchin type kid.

The rival has made an "anonymous" tip to the coast guard that the PC is trying to smuggle contraband on her ship, with the intention of ruining the party. If the PC is friendly (and with the cop friend's help), the coast guard offers to join the party. The Rival being the tipper comes out, and she gets hassled by the coast guard in front of all the guests.

Do you have Creatures of Freeport? Have a Vulpine show up.

I was thinking about what kind of music Paizo goblins would play... any ideas?
Accordian.

The thought of it just fills my heart with glee.

They should be wearing the same outfit to the party, just so the actress can be even more pissed off.

Awesome ideas! LOL at the same dress...

I was also thinking that 2 people sneaking off for nookie is a standard feature of cast parties. I thought that having them discover a goblin (who can see perfectly well in the dark) watching them with a sharp-toothed grin would be a good scene.
