My player out!
I need help brainstorming a party.
I run a one-PC campaign. I have all sorts of unusual adventures that have been about skills in 3.5. You've all been so helpful in the past and I'm asking for help in brainstorming an event.
Her character, a bard/rogue, just finished a successful run of three musical plays, culminating in her turn in the role of Isolde in the Tristan and Isolde opera. During rehearsals, she solved a backstage murder mystery. After a successful run, she's hosting a cast party on her ship before sailing out. My player has been researching the DnD versions of liquor costs, catering, decorations and everything. She's really into this stuff.
I need help making this memorable for about 20 minutes. We're looking for fun and funny as the tone.
The elements to brainstorm with:
It's Freeport and she's defeated the mad cultists in the first adventure.
The gnome conductor and theater owner will be there, along with his aasimar costume designer.
One of the female actresses hates her character.
There's a number of extras who have grown to like her, especially since she saved the day on opening night.
The dullard cop who helped out, Sargeant Durph, has been invited.
She invited her crew, which includes humans and barely civilized Paizo goblins.
She has a sorceress first mate who's learning magic in an associate's degree program at the Freeport Institute.
Her brother, the beefy warrior, will be there to make sure that nobody hits on his sister, the PC.
The ship's medic/chaplain has an on-again/off-again flirtation with her.
There's a lot of liquor. And it's on a boat.
Any help you can give me is great!
