Dusk is quickly approaching. With Dinner in a couple of hours, you feel the urge to get tidied up for your presentation at the royal court. Vriseya: This is something that is different to you. Of you four hundred years at this kingdom, and your three previous coronations so far, you have not seen any visitors with such a welcoming, or that any guests were invited to dinner on the eve of the beginning ceremony. Special guards have been ordered to watch the front gates, and watchtowers from above. These are new recruits, but somehow, they look a lot more trained and experienced than those that have been guarding in the passing days. The streets are quiet. People are getting rest for their big spance of activity for the next two weeks. Some venders and stores will stay open through the entire two week period- only stopping to reload their inventory. Wolff96: As Niro brushes some dirt from his robes -- his only concession to preparing for dinner, as Vriseya requested -- he responds to Kadiyan's comment. "No, actually, it wasn't how you move at all. The weasel says you smell funny. Like ice and shadows, actually, according to him. The only thing I could think of that had made him react like that in the past was when Vriseya killed one of Raynorm's other simulacra... And besides, you look like him and Vriseya hates his guts." He chuckles aloud. "If you were really him, *I* wouldn't want to be here at ground zero." Looking around expectantly, Niro asks, "Okay, so where's the food?" Semirhage: Vriseya finishes with the chairs first, before turning to regard Kadiyan with a finger to her lips. If he had had hostile intentions, or been a threat, he wouldn't be able to enter the chamber. She watches the rest of the exchange, then gazes intently at Kadiyan for a few more seemingly endless minutes. She calls to Thamior, "I suppose we'd better stop preparations for the meeting. Dinner quickly approaches and I believe my faction has agreed upon our candidate already. They'll just have to agree with me this time, regardless of their opinions." She looks to Niro, "Niro, I think perhaps it is a little rude of you to treat the man this way. I sense... that he is different from others of the simulacra that I have encountered. If my hypothesis is correct, he is... free-willed." She lets he notion sink in for a moment, then continues, "Welcome to my offices, Kadiyan. I appreciate your offer of warning. You may speak while I prepare for a dinner with the Royal Court. I'll hear whatever you say." With that, she walks out of the room, into her private chambers, to get tidied up. Once she's gone, she waits a moment for Kadiyan to start, "Well, hurry up, I haven't got all day," her disembodied voice says impatiently. Wolff96: Niro turns to Thamior with a bemused expression on his face. "Was I rude? I didn't think I was rude." Glancing down into his robe, Niro suddenly says, "No, I didn't ask you. You never comprehended human intereactions. And no, you can't eat directly from the table for dinner." Looking up at the mystified expressions of Thamior and Kadiyan, Niro suddenly looks uncomfortable. "It's the weasel. He's always been a bit of handful." Starting down the hall after Vriseya, Niro calls back over his shoulder, "Well, come on. We don't want her holiness to get her panties in a twist." Niro's laugh echoes in the hallway. Semirhage: Vriseya's voice echoes through the room, "I heard that, Niro." The tinkling sound of her laughter fills the hall for a moment before fading away.
