So, they have asked for guests from the far east, Oriental Mystics to come and see into the bellies of the princesses. they will tell the King and Queen which daughter will bear a daughter, and with that news, the fate of the kingdom will lie." </em></p><p><em></em></p><p><em>He pauses for a moment, gathering his thoughts for the news to come... </em></p><p><em></em></p><p><em>"This is where you come in. Your powers are great, and your name is legendary. Mandar fears that Underwood will try to sway the Mystics, or that they are already working for him. He is the one, after all, that came up with the idea, assured that his child is a girl. On top of that, he has appointed a great archmage as his chief advisor. not to worry, he will not dare do anything in the presence of the court and royal family. But, I pray, he will try to manipulate the mystics, powerful as they may be, i fear his powers far surpass theirs..." </em></p><p><em></em></p><p><em>"your presence is necassary to guarantee the unpartisan acts of the mystics. They will look into the princesses, and tell the royal court which is female and which is male. Mandar is ready to step down, if it comes to this. But he will nto do so if there is the smallest shred of unfair play within these coronations. He asks for your protection- not only for himslef, butfor his brothers and sisters as well (dryka and his wife). If Underwood gets the crown, who knows what will happen to them." </em></p><p><em></em></p><p><em>He leads the group up to the main palace gates and presents a periapt, encrested with magic runes. The guards step aside and open the gates. The messenger walks through and waves the guest to follow... </em></p><p><em></em></p><p><em>"the stress is getting to the two brothers- with Underwood happy as can be- as if he had already won the crown. his wife is not doing much to ease the concerns of the other two either. She has convinced her mother to start construction of a grand palace on Cloud Mountain, where she expects the present king and queen tolive after the coronation. They agreed that it would be best to leave the oncerns of the kingdom to the king and they would stay out of its affairs. They will live out the rest of their lives with their half sisters atop Cloud Mountain." </em></p><p><em></em></p><p><em>Walking through the courtyard, you see a great many things that tickly your fancy- from magical animals, to unseen servants. The palace is a mgical place with many beautiful sites. A small wooden bridge (sturdy and well decorated) extends the length of a pond filled with lilies and lotus flowers. Across the other side is the palace Main reception Hall. </em></p><p><em></em></p><p><em>"Once you have entered, do not speak until spoken to, I pray that you have left your weapons behind...*smile* The rpince will address you shortly. Your seating is along the right side of the court, opposite the mystics. As soon as the familiar is out of sight -- safely on its way to listen in at the Mystics' side of the seating -- Niro fiddles with his boot as if the shoe had come unlaced. </p><p></p><p>Standing up to his full height once more, he casts a quick glance around the room to see if anyone noticed. </p><p></p><p>Not seeing anyone looking directly at him, Niro breathes a sigh of relief. He then follows along with the rest of his party to their seating arrangements. </p><p></p><p>Unseen in the shadows around the edge of the room, the weasel waits quietly until it spies an opportunity and then darts across beneath the heavily laden tables. Keeping itself well-hidden and making a game of avoiding the heavy feet of the dining guests, the weasel makes it's way over beneath the mystics' seating and begins to listen for any conversation going on above it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
