Some conversions notes: I have a goliath in my 3.5 campaign who needed to be converted. Since pathfinder races get better ability scores now and the benefits of Large size are not as significant, I realized they could be reworked as a normal race rather than a powerful race. Intelligence penalty: Goliaths are certainly not stupid, and they must have a good Wisdom score to survive in their environment and avoid raiding giants. Although shy, they are competitive and forceful characters. I left open the possibility of leaving them with a net +4 ability scores, but the more I thought about it, the more I came to the conclusion that an Intelligence penalty made sense. They have little or no wizard traditions, and they rely on trade with the dwarves for superior metal weapons. A matter of size: I never liked Powerful Build, so I decided to dismantle it. The fact is, at less than 8 feet tall and topping out at around 340 pounds, goliaths are only as big as the largest humans. They are nowhere near the sheer mass of a Large creature and have never had the reach and space of one. A Large creature in Pf gets a +1 now instead of a +4 on size-based checks, so with their high Str, the benefits seemed trivial. Allowing them to use a Large longsword two-handed made sense, hence Big Grip. It's toned down from their original ability in that it still requires extra hands, but it allows them to use captured giant gear and they may be able to squeeze an extra point or two of damage out of the right weapon. Similarly, their weapon familiarity puts them back on par with dwarves and makes sense, given their size; a bastard sword is really longsword-sized to a goliath. I turned Wield Oversized Weapon into a feat; 3.5 monsters with this ability typically can use a particular weapon, so for parity, I made this feat the same, essentially Exotic Weapon Proficiency (ginormous greatsword). If Pf changes the way Wield Oversized is implemented for monsters I may change this. Medium Large lets particuarly massive goliaths shrug off halfling bullrushes, while again, acknowledging that some humans are 300 pounds. Mountain movement got nerfed, not really for balance reasons so much as flavor ones. Goliaths are already powerful climbers. Although I can understand the logic of allowing to make "standing running jumps" to an extent, I think a goliath should be able to gain some benefit from making a running jump. I may upgrade the bonus to +4, but I wanted to leave it in line with other racial abilities at this point. Tough lithoderms is a conversion of some feat or another I can't remember the name of presently. They are humanoids, because I never saw why they should be considered Monstrous Humanoid. I gave them darkvision back as a racial feature.
