[QUOTE="Rampant, post: 6025864, member: 52859"] The inversion of beetle and dreadful was intentional to compensate for power disparity between choosing cha or con, and to ensure that regardless of ability score choice you get the full trox experience. That said Resilience of the dreadful is an experiment, and I'd be completely fine switching to +1 will. That said it seems a tad boring, and I'm not sure your argument against the current version holds water. Is there a mechanical reason the current version is problematic? As for chitin, you're probably right, I want to try and make those options more attractive, but they're so boring I'd have to load them to the freaking gills to make it worthwhile. Death rattle doesn't affect allies because if it affects allies I either have to make trox immune to other trox's deathrattles or the raiders have to be careful about when they unleash the rattle, neither of which fits the pictures that are resolving for their cultural interactions. They're fairly liberal with it. Furthermore it's just more convenient, and makes sense that they'd develop an ability that could be used on the competition without freezing your support crew. I find your version of dread carapace interesting Mengu, however I think I'll keep the old one and make your idea a different feat. Blood and Terror [Racial] Requires: Trox, Training in intimidate Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus to AC and defenses against attacks from bloodied enemies. I'll ditch spirit rattle, because yeah there's not much call for that, but even if a high level ranger can rack up multiple quarries, I'm not sure how that makes it unbalanced. It's a cool combo if you can pull it off but mass immobilize is not uncommon at higher levels. In fact I'm almost certain there are hunter and seeker powers that do exactly that. I'll fiddle with chitin a bit, see what I come up with. As for requiring both death rattle and trox, it's because that's the format I'm familiar with, I'll change it if you can demonstrate a way for a non-trox to get the power, also revenant and the ed from primal power don't count since they make you count as the applicable race.
