The number of players that are happy to continue playing D&D 3E in its Pathfinder incarnation isn't anywhere large enough to justify continued product support by a company as big as WotC.For WotC to be 'doing extremely well' indeed required a more radical departure from 3E.P.S.: I'd like to mention that I've bought most of the 4E books _and_ the Pathfinder RPG book despite still playing 3E. Considering player feedback after our 4E playtest week it's pretty much a given that we'll switch to 4E when our 3E campaign is finished. The sole reason I bought Pathfinder was because I was curious about what the Paizo guys have been doing to 3E.
