Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder SRD

First Post
In addition to the Pathfinder Resource Document created and hosted by Paizo, I have created and engaged many other fans in helping to maintain, a separate SRD site. It is at http://www.d20pfsrd.com. The site is currently being upgraded to include all of the Final rules (it had Beta before) and is coming along well. I have included all of the monsters from the Bonus Bestiary originally released on FreeRPG day as well as the monsters in the Bestiary Preview released yesterday (8/13).

This SRD site will differentiate itself from the Paizo SRD by including more content, such as as many monsters from 3.5 formatted adventure paths that we can convert, as well as basically any and all other Paizo open content we can find. If Paizo releases or has released it in the past, and its open content, we plan to host it here. In addition, this site maintains the general look and feel of the classic d20srd.org but for Pathfinder, so if you prefer that layout you should like this one. Lastly, this site is completely fan-created and maintained, as opposed to the "official" company version.

I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions as well as help updating the site. There's still a lot of grunt work to do. Its not complicated, just tedious, so if you have absolutely nothing better to do and shoving bamboo slivers under your fingernails is getting boring, come on over and help us grunt out the labor intensive stuff :(

You can email me at jreyst@gmail.com if you are a complete masochist!

Have I sold this well enough yet? lol

First I will say it looks excellent and I will certainly be using this. Very nicely organized. Once I spend some more time browsing i will offer any insight and/or suggestions.

Thanks for the work.

John

Thanks Arbados. It's certainly not completely updated yet as there are a *LOT* of links to add/fix but its coming along. I'll be watching these boards now for any comments, suggestions, or requests anyone has. If anyone has already converted any Paizo released monsters to Final rules I'd love to add them to the site.

Many updates to the site:

"Print This Page"
I added a link in the upper left corner of all pages to generate a printer friendly view.

"Removed Final"
I removed the temporarily appended "- final" from most page names as now the site is almost completely updated to final rules. The "- final" was there for us to know what had been updated and what hadn't.

"News"
Added a "News" section to main page.

"Google Docs for Tables"
Converted text tables on the Skills page to use embedded Google Spreadsheets. Please look at this page and let me know if anyone see's any problems or if you like the way it looks.

Anyway, let me know what everyone thinks. Any suggestions or requests please let me know.

Well done, an excellent resource :-)

What sort of stuff can we do, those of us that know zilch programming and stuff (although I can overclock and watercool my rig, my programming stopped at my VIC20 and BASIC: 10 Print 'Yay' 20 Go to 10 etc IIRC) ;)

You might be surprised to know that there is virtually no "programming" knowledge necessary for working on the site. Google Sites provides a graphical tool for editing pages. You just click menu options and type what you want, where you want. If you want more complicated things you can get there, but its more involved. So its basically as complicated as you want it to be. However, even if you didn't get in and edit one page, if all you ever did was browse through the site and make sure things looked ok and / or were correct, then that'd be great too. You can post whatever comments or critiques you have on the messageboard I set up for the site here.

If you'd like to at least get an ID and get in and play around a little bit, just let me know. You can't hurt anything as everything is backed up and easily recoverable.

Haha! Famous last words ;)

Is there a list of what needs doing? I would be interested in helping a wee bit, I am pretty good at proof reading. Can you PM me a log in then?

This is awesome...I'm extracting it to my thumb drive right now. I can already tell that Pathfinder and I are going to become great friends...
