Wait, MCDM has a new developer? That’s your crowdfunder dollars at work! Whenever Matt & Co. run a successful crowdfund campaign, they go and sink all that crowdfunding money right back into MCDM. Bigger crowdfunder numbers means bigger art budgets, more ambitious projects, and more employees (like me!) dreaming up more cool stuff, in an uncontrolled and frankly dangerous positive feedback loop. At this rate, astronomers fear that all of the atoms in the known universe will be converted into MCDM employees or products by the year 2250.</p><p></p><p>Although I’m technically a new employee, I’m not new to MCDM. I’ve been working on MCDM products since <em>Flee, Mortals</em>. I worked on the core <em>Draw Steel </em>books, and I’m the designer for two of the products in the <em>Crack the Sun</em> crowdfunder: <em>Beastheart</em> and <em>The Condemned</em> (both of which you’ll see sooner rather than later). I’ll also be helping out with various upcoming MCDM projects. Exactly what are those projects? That’s what this post is about!</p><p>-</p><p>-</p><p>Every quarter, the far-flung MCDM team gets together for a week-long, in-person meeting to kick around product ideas, play games, and eat a lot of Mexican food together (not necessarily in that order of importance). This month, I came out for the first three days. I’m aquiver to tell you about them.
